Competition Rules
All entrants to produce at least two and no more than five visuals.
Visual 1 to show the finished project in visual form (three-dimensional perspective drawing).
Visual 2 to show explanatory and working drawings (NOT variations on preliminary sketches).
Each individual submission must be the work of one student.
All students’ submissions must be made online at www.popaistudent.co.uk including visuals and a short case study.
As all judging will be based solely on the submitted visuals it is essential they are of good quality and that any text is clear and legible.
The Intellectual Property Rights of designs submitted remains with the student or college depending upon individual agreements between the two parties.
Dates
All entries to be submitted no later than 30th June 2010.
The judging will take place in July 2010 and the Awards will be presented at the POPAI Awards Gala Dinner in London in October .
The Awards
NJM Trophy & Gold Award - The overall winner will win £1250 cash and the trophy in memory of former POPAI Vice Chairman Nigel Johnston-Maude who tragically lost his fight against cancer in 2003 and was deeply committed to the development of our industry.
Placement Award: The overall winner plus two runners up will win the 'POPAI Student Design Scholarship' - a full time, salaried job with a top P-O-P design agency for a full year working in their creative department. The winners will get hands-on, client-facing creative experience of the retail marketing sector, working with brands and retailers.
